CDN to Video Ad Distribution Platform
The Challenge
Vidillion had a solid CDN business but saw the writing on the wall - their customers needed better video monetization. The challenge? Building a video ad platform from scratch while leveraging their existing infrastructure.
I architected a VAST-compliant system that plugged directly into SpringServe and other major DSPs, creating a bridge between their CDN roots and the programmatic advertising world.

Ad Tech Platform
VPAID Solution for Dynamic VAST Processing
The Challenge
A video advertising technology company needed to handle dynamic VAST files that are generated per ad request with real-time user data. The traditional approach of mirroring VAST content would require updating ALL files in the chain for each impression - a massive real-time processing challenge that scaled with impression volume.
I designed an elegant VPAID JavaScript solution that wraps transcoded media files, handles both upstream and downstream VAST interfaces, and ensures all tracking beacons fire correctly - eliminating the need for dynamic VAST file generation entirely.

The Challenge
A private marketplace wanted to shift from just being a platform to also acting as a publisher - monetizing their substantial traffic through strategic ad placement, especially at high-value moments like checkout. They needed a complete AdTech stack that could handle real-time bidding while maintaining their user experience.
I architected and built a comprehensive ad serving platform from scratch - campaign management, decision engine, user data management, and real-time ad serving APIs. The system follows Domain-Driven Design principles and can scale from internal promotions to full RTB marketplace participation.
